When you think about it, Miyuki sample cards are amazing. Imagine sewing hundreds of beads onto a card. Repeatedly. It boggles the mind. That said, the cards are a great resource for anyone working with Miyuki beads. Use them to keep track of the beads you have as well as the ones you covet, as a resource to use with customers or clients, etc. For us, as importers, they are an endless source of expensive temptation, part of an occasional conversation that starts like this: "If we only had a million dollars to spend on new colors..."
Miyuki shows sample cards on their website.(You'll need Adobe Flash installed to view them). Our own collection, which covers the 4,000+ Miyuki beads we stock, is listed on our shopping cart under the Miyuki heading. Each time we add new beads, Miyuki makes new custom sample cards for us. So far this year (2009) we've gotten a new sample card for 1.8mm cubes and another for the other new beads (most of which are now in stock) coming this year.
